Squid collects this info in the internal clientdb statistics, readable via SNMP.


The following returns the amount of data (in KB) sent to the client with IP 192.168.54.3:

snmpget -v 1 -m ~/squid/lfs-2.5/share/mib.txt localhost:3401 public cacheClientEntry.cacheClientHttpKb.192.168.54.3

this can be graphed with mrtg / rrdtool / whatever graphing tool you prefer.

The counter is updated on completetion of each request, at the same time the access.log entry is written. So long running downloads does not show up until the download has completed.
