We are using the ESI feature in Squid 3.0 (2/9/05 code base) but are
unable to purge fragments that are included in pages via esi:include.
This content is successfully included in the page and cached, as
evidenced by hits in the access log, but purge requests for such
content result in a 404 response code and stale content remains
included in the page. However, if the same content is accessed as it's
own page, purge requests succeed and the content for that page is
successfully updated, although again the same included content on the
original page remains stale. Any hints as to what might be causing this
behavior would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Brad Steiner
