Hi,

Please be more specific about type of authentication you want to use.
Describe your environment like: i have windows 2003 ads, my clients a
using msie or firefox
want ldap authentication or ntlm, or basic- squid-cache.org faq 23 is very
helpfull.
my example will be like this:
installing samba with ntlm and wbinfo_group support
adding machine on which you want to put squid in domain as member server.
installing squid with basic and ntlm and wbinfo_group support.
after that putting acl list for authentication, with wbinfo_group.pl you
can make groups(from domain) authentication.
and after that restrict access according to user in group with appropiate
acl and http_access.

Nikolay

[squid-users] http access

Hello all:

Here is what I want to do:

Limit certain users or groups of users to accessing only certain sites
that
are preapproved by management. I however just cannot wrap my head around
the
SQUID HOWTO that deals with this type of control.

Does anyone have any examples of how this can be accomplished?

I currently control who can access the internet by either giving or
withholding a username and password via htpasswd....

Cheers,

Travis Bullock
