Eventually we could make it optional, although it's easier to avoid
the extra options if possible.

We have to be careful to keep API/ABI compatibility etc.

json-glib is quite widely available. A minimal fedora has it iirc, it
must be a dependency of some base package.

mingw-json-glib is available in f28.
