A multiplication between 32 bit integer and a 32 bit integer can
cause overflow if the result is a 32 bit. Using a 64 bit integer
to multiply a 32 bit integer by a 32 bit integer avoids the overflow.
On 32 bit systems usually size_t is a 32 bit.
