This is my vote as well (which is maybe obvious since I Acked a bunch
of the patches already). Code churn and rebasing difficulty is
certainly an issue. But I personally think that cleanup and consistency
is worth the headache. (Or are there some big refactoring branches
active right now that would be severely impacted by this? If so,
perhaps we could delay this change until they get merged)
