Well I was testing it on WinXP, and the colors were correct, and as far as this patch series goes,

The issue is that icons on the desktop have artifacts, unless you are dragging them around,
but considering that text is also mirrored on WinXP with ppc (both 16bpp and 32bpp),
I think that's probably WinXP specific issue.
