I think this is the problem. This header cleanup should be moved to the next
patch (8/15 "misc header cleanups"). At the moment, red-common.h does not yet
include glib.h, so by removing glib.h here, we no longer have the definition for
G_STATIC_ASSERT. After applying the next patches, the compile error disappears.
