I also have crashes when I launch a
Windows 7 VM with recent releases of qemu-kvm-2.0, while I don't
have problems with qemu-kvm-1.7.1.

Can you remove as much hw/arguments from your qemu command line? (for ex, is it still reproducable without soundhw, balloon, CD etc?)
