Title: Samsung Enterprise Portal mySingle

Hello everyone.

I'm wondering whether or not SPICE server can support 32bit.

Of course I know SPICE server does not support 32bit officially.

However I could run SPICE server on 32bit by as follows:

1) I downloaded SPICE client/server from git repository specified in SPICE wiki page.

2) However, about qemu, I used qemu 2.0.50 instead of git://cgit.freedesktop.org/spice/qemu repository.

3) I built SPICE client/server and qemu 2.0.50 on Ubuntu 12.04 32bit.

There were some errors in spice/server/mjpeg_encoder.c while building SPICE server. I fixed it and built successfully.

4) And I installed windows7 32bit on qemu-kvm and ran it by using this command:

   ../src/spice/spice-git/qemu/x86_64-softmmu/qemu-system-x86_64 -drive file=./win7.raw,if=ide -soundhw ac97 -L pc-bios -vga qxl -spice port=5924,disable-ticketing -usbdevice tablet -enable-kvm -m 2047 -device virtio-serial -chardev spicevmc,id=vdagent,name=vdagent -device virtserialport,chardev=vdagent,name=com.redhat.spice.0

It seems SPICE server works fine now on my ubuntu 12.04 32bit.

But I'm not sure whether it is really running stably or not.

If there are potential problems about running SPICE server on 32bit, please let me know about them.

For example, I saw this phrase "It is not possible to install the SPICE server on any 32-bit system due to its reliance on 64-bit atomic operations"

in http://docs.cslabs.clarkson.edu/wiki/SPICE.

Does this problem is still effective now? And what is the meaning of this?

Thanks in advance :-)
