If RHEV generates a console.vv file which needs to be modified before being
used, there's a bug which should be fixed.

This should be working, even though this is not tested quite often, you
need to give more details though about version numbers and the steps you
are following to try to start an ipv6 connection.

You cannot disable that verification, the way around it is to use
--spice-host-subject when starting remote-viewer. I've used it with git
spice-gtk/remote-viewer last week, so this was tested recently.
