I am used to compile it. However, thats true that we have it in debian repos :

# apt-cache search snappy
libleveldb1 - fast key-value storage library
python-snappy - Python library for the snappy compression library from Google
libsnappy-dev - fast compression/decompression library (development files)
libsnappy1 - fast compression/decompression library
libsnappy-java - Snappy for Java, a fast compressor/decompresser
snappy - Powerful media player with a minimalistic interface
spice-client-gtk - Simple clients for interacting with SPICE servers

# apt-cache search spicy
spice-client-gtk - Simple clients for interacting with SPICE servers

I'm  spice-gtk  Debian package maintainer, when I package spice-gtk for
debian(14 Aug 2011), snappy was already in Debian(first uploaded in
25 Mar 2011), so I rename snappy to spicy-snapshot, but forget to
update package description.
