OK, first of all great that you found it's harmless right now and thanks for the explanation.

Looks like the following users would be silenced too:

smartcard_char_device_notify_reader_add
smartcard_char_device_notify_reader_remove
 - both already have a separate spice_error so ok

so ACK.
