The patch summaries explain that I suggest it supports only MinGW build upstream.
If there is any need for visual studio build, it could be maintained seperately.
In general, it's hard enough to maintain a single build, and we favour cross-compilation.
OK. It is more work to maintain both.
If that's the case we might as well just git rm the proj files.
