Could you specify please:
* what kind of video are you playing
* what is the resulting video size after scaling
* what computer do you use as a client

There is know bug that affects html5 videos in browsers [1], other
videos should work fine as long as both your kvm host and your client
are able to encode and decode mjpeg stream of the resulting size.
