But yeah. At the moment only clang as CC works, all other LLVM tools are still incomplete and need some work to be able to build the kernel, so these patches indeed are intended as stepping stones to make it easier to work on the rest of the tools. I'm not sure if I should update the documentation now given that LLVM support is nowhere near as complete as other architectures, but I'll do it if needed...
