The machine specification is in the original post at http://lists.debian.org/debian-sparc/2009/11/msg00013.html There is one recorded V890 prtconf from Meelis Roos in prtconfs.git so that's a good sign, at least one person once made it work. :)
Just for documentation purposes - no, I did not get this prtconf under Linux but under Solaris instead. And I have not tried Linux on V890 - it's not my machine.
