Hi Folks,
many thanks for the answers you gave. Unfortunately it showed on Dan Kegels website that all cross compiling for sparc64 is marked as "red" -> so I keep
being stuck with what I have right now.
I would like to "simply" build a compiler for the kernel on my old U60@xxxxxxx
(do not tell me that Debian is up and running, I know, this is for
educational purposes) and had had thought about a way how to do it - since it
works on Debian and Gentoo and .... there should be a way to build the
compiler on SuSE, too.
The old egcs that came with SuSE is generating crappy code for the kernel, so
I would like to upgrade. If anyone has any more pointers to hints to
whatsoever - I'd be very happy for any recommendation on how to get started.
Thanks again,
take care

See http://kegel.com and look for 'crosstool'. The last version I
downloaded was crosstool-0.35.
