There are probably more than a few people who have that plan. However running
a Planet installation is no more work than maintaining a list of blogs. In
fact there's a benefit to a Planet installation in that it will tell you when a
blog has been inactive for a long time and show you when a blog has been taken
over by a porn site (as recently happened to someone many of us know). In
terms of people who want a list of blogs the advantage of a Planet
installation is that they can page-down to quickly see which blogs have
content that interests them.
