Re: ipchains with kernel 2.4.18

The default install shuts off ftp services on the ipchains firewall.  You
have your choice of either changing the rules manually or using lokkit.

Type lokkit on the command line (as root) and it will bring up the ipchains
config program.  Select the appropriate level of protection and then select
customize.

Pick the services you want plus add any other ports you wish to use.  select
OK and exit the program.  You can verify the new rules with "cat
/etc/sysconfig/ipchains".

If these are OK, you just need to restart the ipchains.  Go to
/etc/rc.d/init.d and enter "./ipchains restart" and the rules will be
reloaded.
