Hello Dharmu. I was looking into blackmail (http://www.jsm-net.demon.co.uk/blackmail/blackmail.html). It's already pretty configurable; but with minor mods, you'd be able to scan full message content prior to Sendmail. This allows use of a standard set of tools to check for virii, SPAM, and "non-standard" messages that may pose a security risk. Using blackmail as a proxy also allows you to genericize the error message in an effort to mask the real reason the message is being rejected. I'm sure that there is a better solution, but this is the best I've come up with. -=Berns ------ Bernard Hoffman e | Market Capital, Inc. http://www.emarketcapital.com -----Original Message----- From: dharmu bavale [mailto:dharmu@linuxmail.org] Sent: Tuesday, April 16, 2002 6:09 AM To: security-discuss@linuxsecurity.com Subject: Email attachment scanner Is it possible to filter the attachments for the trojans?
