 Yeah, i looked at the gnome cvs web and saw the things you 
mentioned.. lots of stuff renamed to context-blah-blah...
and layer stuff renamed to drawable...
  Don't quite understand why lump everything as drawable ?
What if i want to know is it a mask, a layer or a channel ? is
there a call to tell me what it is ? 

  maybe i should install a linux partition, i think i can spare 10 
GB from my win XP laptop...
