Ah.  Well, if someone is reasonably familiar with C, then they should be
able to figure out how to rework the patch to make it fit.  I haven't taken
a look at it myself, but it probably isn't too bad.

What I mean by 'won't work' is that it won't patch cleanly. This is hardly
surprising considering that the patch is written for the 2.4.7 stock
kernel, not RH's 2.4.9-31.
