I just tracked down the posting from December that talks about this. Here's
what I found:
=========================================================================
Date:         Thu, 6 Dec 2001 08:48:45 +0100
Sender: Linux on 390 Port <LINUX-390@VM.MARIST.EDU>
From:         Frank Schwede <lhmirror@GMX.NET>
Subject: AW: New Suse Enterprise Server

I asked accounts at SuSE for the pricing.
They told me, that their new distribution is only avaiable with a
one-year-maintenance-packet.
costs:
31bit version -> 11500  (11000$) per processor/engine!
64bit version -> 14500  (14000$) per processor/engine!

My point was the unfair spread of pricing on S/390 vs. Intel and the fact
that you CANNOT obtain the CD without the support contract. Another
question: Is SuSe pricing similar?
