I downloaded the new kernel.img and initrd.img files and tried again.
The "rhsetup" seemed to work. But I now have the following errors:

1) During the rpm installs, I got on the console:

User process fault: interruption code 0x10

CPU:    0

2) After the rpm installs and after the zilo, I get:

sh-2.05# /usr/sbin/authconfig --kickstart --nostart --enableshadow --enablemd5
cannot determine current run level

GLib-CRITICAL **: file gstrfuncs.c: line 1348 (g_strsplit): assertion `string !=
 NULL' failed.

3) Then, when I ipl from the disk, it hangs (dies) at:

/sbin/oco-setkver: objdump: command not found

4) The above were using the "default" rpm list. When I used the "everything"
list, there are conflicts reported during the rpm install. I do not look on this
as a serious error, but it should probably be noted somewhere.

FYI, the new *.img were from the RedHat site, not from
     http://people.redhat.com/laroche/

I just downloaded the beta and tried to install it.

When I ran "rhsetup", I got:

# rhsetup
/bin/rhsetup[312]: syntax error: `)' unexpected
#

(Also the README file is incorrect / inconsistent. It has parts of
the new beta and parts of the old, i.e. references to inst22.)
