Thank you, I have been experiencing the same PORTMAP hang problem here. We have attempted vctc to vm's tcpip and to a SuSE linux without luck. The FTP support would be a welcome change as we have asked to install the REDHAT version and have a call today to start settling what will be in a "CORE" build of s/390 linux.
