Since I did not cc stable-rt when I sent this patch, I do not know if I need
to resend the entire patch or just this reference.  If I need to resend the
patch, just ping me.

Please consider this patch (1/2) in conjunction with 2/2.

These two patches are in 3.4-rt8.  The second patch is named
fix-printk-flush-of-messages-1.patch
