Is there any way to tell in your uninstall scripts whether the RPM is truly being uninstalled or just updated? The problem is that the pre and post uninstall scripts are run after the install scripts when using rpm -U. In other words, what would work fine if someone did an rpm -e and than an rpm -i might not work with an rpm -U if the uninstall scripts undo the work of the install scripts.
