repackaging an rpm

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

I need to repackage (just change some of the rpm metainfo) a binary rpm
without having access to the sources that went into building the binary
rpm (mainly the spec file). What's the easiest, most reasonable way of
doing this?

I was thinking of installing the rpm, listing and capturing the files
that it owns, extracting the pre/post/... scripts (-q --scripts) and
triggers (-q --triggers) to build the meat of the spec file and rebuild
the rpm.
