Vadim

I am trying to make and install CD from the redhat sources and not put them in the standard install path defined in the rpmmacro file.

So, How do I define a new rpmmacro file that allows me to install all the sources and rebuilt binarys down a private path?

I don't know.

Perhaps you could tell us what you were trying to achieve by redefining
_var and _usr as follows:

%_topdir /home/rcblach/redhat
%_var %{_topdir}/var
%_usr %{_topdir}/usr
