Where
can I find information on RPM’s ‘target?’ I’m
specifically trying to figure out how to build RPMs for use with EM64T. I’m
also trying to figure out the consequences of using the i386 target for EM64T
packages, and the consequences of using undefined target names. (...or the
work involved with defining a new target name.) When
is x86_64 used and when is ia32e used? I can’t
find much info in Maximum RPM, man pages, on rpm.org, the rpm mailing list
archives, bugzilla, or elsewhere on the internet. I’m currently trying
to order “Red Hat RPM Guide.” |
