Hi,

Write a script to prompt for installation directory.
Store this directory in a file..

Provide this file as input to pkgadd.
pkgadd -a <absolute path of above file> -d <pkg>

Subject: question about solaris postinstall script?

All,

Sorry i am posting this question in this group.

Can someone tell me how i can get a directory input from user and install
the package in that directory in solaris using pkgadd?

I have issues with redefining BASEDIR in request, then pass it on to the
rest of the scripts.

Thanks

Barry
