ANNOUNCE: catapult, an RPM product installer

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

This is old code now, but was never really announced anywhere,
and I occasionally get queries about it, so here goes...

A while back we wrote a self-extracting installer named "catapult"
which lets you embed a bunch of binary RPMs inside a single installer
executable. The installer has a Newt-based TUI.

It's designed for use with relocatable RPMs to be installed inside a
self-contained install prefix, and we use it on a bunch of Unix
platforms.

Web site is at: http://sources.redhat.com/catapult/

(The code is no longer under active development)
