There are likely lots of different ways to do it, depending on what
version of rpm you're using, but the first thing I would try is adding

AutoReqProv: no

Between the header stanza (Source:, URL:, Vendor:, etc) and the
%description.

This is documented in "Maximum RPM", BTW.
