Hi all, I'm new to the list and have a slight problem. I'm not sure if this is the right list to post this question to, so I apologize ahead if time. I have a USB QuickCam Pro 3000. It registers fine but then it interferes with the audio of the soundblaster card. Here is a sample of the dmesg with the extra 'dma time outs' removed. usb.c: registered new driver usbdevfs usb.c: registered new driver hub usb-uhci.c: $Revision: 1.275 $ time 10:08:25 Feb 24 2003 usb-uhci.c: High bandwidth mode enabled usb-uhci.c: USB UHCI at I/O 0xd400, IRQ 9 usb-uhci.c: Detected 2 ports usb.c: new USB bus registered, assigned bus number 1 usb-uhci.c: v1.275:USB Universal Host Controller Interface driver usb.c: USB device 3 (vend/prod 0x45e/0x29) is not claimed by any active driver. usb-uhci.c: interrupt, status 3, frame# 1535 usb.c: USB device not accepting new address=4 (error=-110) usb.c: USB device 5 (vend/prod 0x46d/0x8b0) is not claimed by any active driver. usb.c: registered new driver hiddev usb.c: registered new driver hid input0: USB HID v1.00 Mouse [Microsoft Microsoft IntelliMouse® Optical] on usb1:3.0 usb.c: registered new driver Philips webcam usb.c: registered new driver audio usbaudio: device 5 audiocontrol interface 1 has 1 input and 0 output AudioStreaming interfaces usbaudio: device 5 interface 2 altsetting 0 FORMAT_TYPE descriptor not found usbaudio: valid input sample rate 44100 usbaudio: device 5 interface 2 altsetting 1: format 0x00000010 sratelo 44100 sratehi 44100 attributes 0x00 usbaudio: valid input sample rate 22050 usbaudio: device 5 interface 2 altsetting 2: format 0x00000010 sratelo 22050 sratehi 22050 attributes 0x00 usbaudio: valid input sample rate 11025 usbaudio: device 5 interface 2 altsetting 3: format 0x00000010 sratelo 11025 sratehi 11025 attributes 0x00 usbaudio: valid input sample rate 8000 usbaudio: device 5 interface 2 altsetting 4: format 0x00000010 sratelo 8000 sratehi 8000 attributes 0x00 usbaudio: registered dsp 14,3 usbaudio: constructing mixer for Terminal 3 type 0x0101 usbaudio: warning: found 1 of 0 logical channels. usbaudio: assuming the channel found is the master channel (got a Philips camera?). Seems like the microphone is screwing things up. I would appreciate if anyone has a solution to this, like something I have to put in to the modules.conf so that the microphone doesn't try to barge in on any of the soundblaster's settings. Thank you, Jamie
