I recently bought an Audigy 2 sound card.
I have downloaded the drivers from
opensource.creative.com, compiled them
and installed. Added the aliases to the
modules
files, but didnt work.
I have found different setups for the
modules.conf
file on the net. And I have tried all of them I
could find.
And, i have seen where some have gotten it to work
with downloading the main.c file from CVS.
Compiling it
and installing, added the lines ( all i found ) to
the
modules.conf file. But still no sound.
I have tried Mandrake 9.0 and RedHat 8.0 with no
luck.
Everything starts ok and with no errors. And the
player
plays with no sound.
I have read through this list trying to find some
answers,
and tutorials, but everything thing that I have
found, doesnt
work.
My question is: Is there a sure fire way to get the
card to work??
If you need any info on the computer , just let me
know, and
I will get it for
you.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, because I
have spent 3 days on this. Thank you in advance.
