I don't know. What's an MPU and how can I find out if it's using IRQ 5?
(Sorry for the lay question.)

Here's /proc/interrupts:

           CPU0
  0: 351068 XT-PIC timer
  1: 997 XT-PIC keyboard
  2: 0 XT-PIC cascade
  3: 1423 XT-PIC serial
  5: 2 XT-PIC Crystal audio controller
  8: 1 XT-PIC rtc
 11: 0 XT-PIC usb-uhci
 14: 25753 XT-PIC ide0
NMI: 0
ERR: 0

Here's the output of lspci:

00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corp. 440LX/EX - 82443LX/EX Host bridge (rev 03)
00:01.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corp. 440LX/EX - 82443LX/EX AGP bridge (rev 03) (prog-if 00 [Normal decode])
00:07.0 ISA bridge: Intel Corp. 82371AB/EB/MB PIIX4 ISA (rev 02)
00:07.1 IDE interface: Intel Corp. 82371AB/EB/MB PIIX4 IDE (rev 01) (prog-if 80 [Master])
00:07.2 USB Controller: Intel Corp. 82371AB/EB/MB PIIX4 USB (rev 01) (prog-if 00 [UHCI])
00:07.3 Bridge: Intel Corp. 82371AB/EB/MB PIIX4 ACPI (rev 02)
00:10.0 VGA compatible controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] 82C204 (rev 21) (prog-if 00 [VGA])

I've also saved the output of lspci -v, /proc/dma, /proc/ioports,
/proc/isapnp, and some portions of the output from dmesg, in case
you need any of that.

BTW, I moved the video card from one slot to another during the
6.0->7.3 upgrade. Could that make any difference?

Thanks for taking an interest,
Mandar.
