[Sound] back

hi - i had made many posts b4 this, didnt get no
sound, and i stopped. 
lets try this again? im still new to linux, and the
error messages especially in this regard dont make
much sense to me - so, iff ppl would be very kind
enough to tell me what to do...
thnx. here are the details.

audio_cds play just fine, but nothing else.
i have a SiS7012 PCI Audio Accelerator; module:
i810_audio.

if there is any command u think i should run, and
which parts of it u want me to post here, pls lemme
know.
