[Sound] Problem with Sound server

	hi...i have installed Red Hat 8.0 and everithings works perfectly
except the sound and the rpm administrator
	mi problem with the sound is that when kde start i have the message

Sound server informational message:
Error while initializing the sound driver:
device /dev/dsp can't be opened (No such device)
The sound server will continue, using the null output device.

i hear some sound... like sound from gaim, etc... i cound t hear mp3 and
cd audio... i installed a patche for xmms... i read something in one
mail in this list... now i can hear mp3... but no cd audio...

i have a via82cxxx_audio... it is autodetected perfectly...
when i play some game... for more simple that it be... its very slow
because of the sound...

what shold y do to solve this...
