[Sound] 2 Sound Cards !!

I have an Asus P4S8X with an onbord sound card.
I also have a SoundBlaster live5.0 pci card.

Redhat 8.0 detects both cards without a problem BUT.....

All system sounds seem to be going through the on-board card.
Sounds from KsCD etc... go through the pci card.
In other words both devices are working fine.

I can't work out how to sort this out.
I want to use onw card or the other.
An lsdmod shows the following;
