[Sound] No Sound in RH 8.0

Not sure if this has already been posted, but here it goes anyway...

I have a Dell Precision 410 MT Workstation with dual PIII 700MHz. This
machine has on-board sound (CS4232) which I have disabled in the bios.
I have installed a SoundBlaster 16 PCI card in the machine. I have a
dual boot configuration with Win2000 and RH 8.0. RH 8.0 was installed
after the card was installed. RH 8.0 recognizes my card as an es1371
card. All the appropriate modules appear to load at boot time. Here's
an output of lsmod:

I've included the output from dmesg as an attachment.

So the module is loaded however I get no sound to my speakers. On a
lark, I ran the sndconfig program. Once it ran, I heard the test sound
and sound started working. However, if I reboot, I lose the sound again
until I run sndconfig again. sndconfig is pretty easy to use, however
I'd like to make whatever change sndconfig is making more permanent.
Can someone help?

Thanks,

Tim Spaulding
