What sort of network are we trying to help you with? Is it couple PCs on a home network? Are you working within a company network with an existing DNS server, AD server, etc? 2.) Make sure all your PCs have unique IPs & hostnames/computernames and that every box can ping every other box by IP. Clean up any hosts file entries you may have made. 3.) There's a number of steps in correctly setting up a samba server. Have you read the HOWTOs at samba.org or looked at simple setup instructions like: http://www.linux.com/article.pl?sid=06/11/20/207251 4.) Post your smb.conf file. It'll give us some clues as to what you're trying to do. -Toby -- Shrike-list mailing list Shrike-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/shrike-list
