screensave on login screen

Hello all,

I want to setup a screensaver, so that when no one is logged in (on the console)
a screensaver starts up at a given time.

Let's say I want to use the xmatrix screensaver.

Where do I set it up ? (I tried to change /etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf but that
didn't seem to help. I do have a screensaver running now, but it is random.)

if someone has an example, or knows where to find it I'd appreciate it.

The most likely way for the world to be destroyed, most experts
agree,is by accident. That's where we come in; we're computer
 professionals. We cause accidents.
