HowTo give vfat label to /dev/sda

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

This is a usb memory stick device.

mkfs.vfat can do the job, but this erases all current contents.
How can it be done without erasing the current contents?

All the mtools utilities seem useless since I can't find a DRIVE:
designator for a usb-mounted pseudo-scsi device.
That tosses out mlabel.
