Why are you certain this is Fedora not RH9? If it's the kernel version, mine's 2.4.26, the rest of the system is stock RH9. That said, the first hit from Yahoo: "NTFS RedHat shrike" is http://linux-ntfs.sourceforge.net/rpm/instructions.html which has links to downloads for RH7->RH9,RHEL3, and Fedora{1|2} and a donation solicitation: "Buy FlatCap a beer" ;^) Brian Brunner brian.t.brunner@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (610)796-5838 >>> shrike-list.listman@xxxxxxxxxxxx 05/14/04 04:19AM >>> Hello, On Don, 13 Mai 2004, dont bother wrote: > When I make an entry in the /etc/fstab file like this: > > /dev/hda4 /mnt/X ntfs users,owner,ro,umask=000 0 0 > > and run $mount -a > > I get this: > > mount: fs type ntfs not supported by kernel > > How to fix this? > > $uname -a on my machine gives this > > Linux won 2.4.22-1.2115.nptl #1 Wed Oct 29 15:42:51 > EST 2003 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux Why is it such difficult to use Google with "NTFS Fedora"? ;-) http://linux-ntfs.sourceforge.net/rpm/fedora1.html Read correctly and get the correct module there...and you'll have a lot of fun :) BTW, your problem is NOT Red Hat Linux - it's Fedora Core. Maybe you'll move to the Fedora mailling list immediately?
