Re: Mounting NTFS partition and CDROM (kernel does not support)

When I make an entry in the /etc/fstab file like this:

/dev/hda4 /mnt/X ntfs users,owner,ro,umask=000 0 0

and run $mount -a

I get this:

mount: fs type ntfs not supported by kernel

How to fix this?

$uname -a on my machine gives this

Linux won 2.4.22-1.2115.nptl #1 Wed Oct 29 15:42:51
EST 2003 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

Any help will be appreciated
Thanks
