turn off up2date?

Since I am now using the Fedora legacy project and yum to keep my rh9 
installation current, how do i go about turning off up2date? Is it even 
necessary to do so?

I did
#up2date --config

but an obvious setting for on/off was not apparent to me. I also tried 
the services control panel in the gui, but did not see an item for up2date.
