i can't setup dial-up networking. i receive a /dev/modem reply wanting to do so with wvdial. with statserial, there is a default connection error and TCIOMGET error. i went to the linmodems.org site but could receive no help there. i have a terminal, cdma2000 1XRtt terminal (fixed wireless) and discovered linux 9 couldn't do a probe on it. i don't know the chipset. does anyone out there? but the documentation says its a MSM 5000 family chip.
could anyone give me some help. it was manucfactured by Dowtel, so i checked the dowtel site. no help.
waiting for reply. am new to linux and absolutely, absolutely doesn't want to go back to windows but i have to get connected.
yours
