I am running several fedora workstations as simple X-terminals. They are logging in to a RH9 server via XDMCP. I have configured the machines to run 'esd -tcp -public' out of inittab. If I set up xmms to use the esd output plugin and give it the proper ip address, I get sound on the remote machine, so all that is working. How do I configure Gnome/Evolution to respect the $DISPLAY variable for sound?
