Mounting Floppy and CD

I have a dual boot system with XP. Both the CD and floppy work fine with XP 
but when I try and mount in RH9 they say "too many file systems mounted, 
bad blocks etc..." I can mount floppy from command line though, but not CD.

Can someone help?
